Event¶
The event setup screen. Pick an existing event from the dropdown at the top, or press New Event to start one.
The dropdown lists each event with its dates, so repeat visits by the same club are distinguishable:
Stone City Kennel Club - 26 Sep 2026 to 27 Sep 2026
Lyons Township / GRCI - 28 Jul 2023 to 30 Jul 2023
The screen has six tabs.
Day(s) / Title(s)¶
Three panels, filled left to right. Each depends on the one before it.
Days. One row per day of the trial.
Field |
Holds |
|---|---|
Date |
the day itself |
Description |
the AKC event number for that day |
Initials |
the club’s initials, used on reports |
Order |
which day this is within the event |
Title(s). With a day selected, the classes offered that day. Each carries a ring number, the order it runs in the ring, and optionally a start time and an entry limit.
Judge assignment. With a class selected, who judges it and at which jump
heights. All means the judge takes every height, which is the normal case;
set specific heights only when two judges split a class between them.
Three buttons sit below:
Build Trial List - Shortcut adds the standard classes and judges for the selected day in one step.
Warning
If the day already has titles, this offers to delete them first. Doing so also deletes every entry for every dog in the event. Answering No instead creates duplicate titles. Read the prompt before answering.
Set Running Order opens the running order for the event.
Re-Sort renumbers the classes into their catalog order.
Entry Fee¶
Fees are positional, per day. The first class a dog enters on a given day is charged the first fee, the second class the second fee, and so on. The position resets to one at the start of each day.
Position |
Fee |
|---|---|
1st run of the day |
$25.00 |
2nd run |
$17.00 |
3rd run |
$17.00 |
4th run |
$17.00 |
Fees belong to the event as a whole, not to a day, so every day in a cluster charges the same scale.
Arm Bands¶
Builds the list of armband numbers available to the event.
Whether a dog gets one armband for the whole event or one per class depends on the kind of event — agility uses one per event, obedience and rally one per class.
Rebuild Arm Band Number List rebuilds the list.
Warning
Rebuilding resets armband numbers. Do not do it once dogs are entered.
Email Messages¶
The message sent to exhibitors at each stage of the entry process: entry received, in the event, moved up, wait listed, closed out, and final.
Trial Secretary¶
The secretary for this event. A default can be set under Tools → Options so new events fill this in automatically.
Judge Maintenance¶
Add or correct judges without leaving the screen.
Event Trial Secretary¶
Maintains trial secretary records independently of any one event.
